BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio — A Broadview Heights dentist, whose practice is now in a multi-tenant building on Avery Road, will build his own standalone office on Broadview Road just south of Sprague Road.
Dr. Mircea Olteanu needs more room because he’s expanding his practice and adding employees, said Leon Sampat, owner of LS Architects in Fairview Park. Sampat is designing Olteanu’s new office, which will measure about 4,600 square feet.
“He can’t grow in his current space,” Sampat told cleveland.com.
The Broadview Heights Planning Commission has approved the new building, which will stand off the west side of Broadview between two existing retail-office plazas.
Sampat said construction of the new office is scheduled to begin within three months. Olteanu will close his current location, where he pays rent, and move into the new building, which he will own, in about a year.
The building will stand on three consolidated vacant lots totaling just less than 1.5 acres. Olteanu, through a limited liability company called Simbaone, bought the property in January, according to Cuyahoga County Fiscal Office and Ohio Secretary of State records.
According to his website, Olteanu, a Richfield resident, earned his dental degree in Romania and worked at The MetroHealth System before starting his own practice.
