The official journal of the Japanese Society for Hygiene, Environmental Health and Preventive Medicine (EHPM) brings a comprehensive approach to prevention and environmental health related to medical, biological, molecular biological, genetic, physical, psychosocial, chemical, and other environmental factors. EHPM features definitive studies on human health sciences and provides comprehensive and unique information to a worldwide readership.

Yoshihiro Kokubo, Editor-in-Chief, serves as a Chief Doctor of National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center, Osaka, Japan. He is also a Visiting Professor, Institute of Cardiovascular and Medical Sciences, University of Glasgow, Glasgow, U.K., as well as Guest Professor, Osaka University School of Medicine Faculty of Medicine, Osaka, Japan.
His research interests focus on preventive medicine (stroke, hypertension, cardiovascular disease), epidemiology, public health, and risk factors (lifestyle, genetic).
